The Northeast Stock Horse Association
Presents
ROOKIE WEEKEND
WILLOW BROOK FARMS, CATASAUQUA, PA
April 17 and 18, 2010 beginning at 9AM both days
The Northeast Stock Horse Association is offering this first time ever event to allow rookies a chance to learn
from NRCHA, NRHA, AQHA, NCHA, and NSHA professionals. Day 1 of the weekend will consist of riders and horses being
schooled in the areas of ranch trail, roping, reining, and cow working, the necessary components to compete in
Northeast Stock Horse Association shows. The riders will learn the ins & outs of competition in a comfortable,
relaxed setting that focuses on having fun. Day 2 of the weekend gives rookies the chance to compete against other
rookies for prizes on both a team & individual levels with the guidance of their professional trainer. This day
is designed for amateur riders (those not having earned more than $500 in NRCHA or AQHA working cow horse). It is
to encourage riders to embrace the show experience, whether you are new to the sport, are trying to overcome anxiety
in the show pen, or are introducing a new horse to the event.
This weekend is designed for you!
The cost of the two
day event is $150 per person to participate.
Auditors are also welcome at a fee of $25.

In the early 90's, Dave would spend as much time as possible riding with the industries leading trainers such as Craig Johnson, Tim McQuay, Doug Millolland, Mike and Shawn Flarida, and Bob Loomis to name a few. Having this much exposure to various programs has allowed him to develop his own program based on what hes halearned from each of the these icons. In 1998, Dave went to work for Tim Mcquay in Tioga, Texas. After spending a year with Tim, he then went to work for Barbra Williams in Marietta, Oklahoma. Dave has been lucky enough tove had opportunities to show reiners in Germany, Holland, Belgium and trained a year in England. In 2001, Dave started a 2 yr old palomino stallion named Wimpy's Little Step for Double Run Farm in NC. He rode Wimp for a year and realized that in the middle of his 2 yr old year he was going to be a superstar. Today, Dave operates Dave Williams Reining Horses out of Dominic Conicelli's "Kinda Silly Farm" in Collegeville, Pa.
